Up to this point I have chosen pages from Mrs. Trowbridge's journal that reflect the fun and adventurous side of life in Huckleberry Hollow. But, like anyone who journals, she wrote pages that were filled with fear and sorrow too. This is one of her saddest pages.

That is so cute and sad at the same time. Just adorable. I can't stop looking at the gorgeous island scene (would work for 'Skyline' as well) you created. What nice effects you've created with the sunset and its reflection in the water. A nice tribute to Skylar.
Oh...this is so sad. Poor little Skylar! I do love the beautiful seashore you painted in his memory. There's such a lovely glow and reflection from the sun.

How strange it is to read such a sad journal entry.
But their life reflects ours.
Beautiful sunset for a beautiful memory.
Beautiful sad story of Skylar-he's so cute. The painting is serene and warm, perfect for his story. Love your work!
Very beautiful.
Poetic and beautiful!
very very beautiful!
Tragic and lovely!
I feel for Skylar for losing his best friend. I lost two friends (one in sickness and another in a car accident)when I was little.
A beautiful sunset reminds one that time and tide waits for no man. Live in full every second of one's life.
Beautiful wild rose (is that also called a 'rock' rose?) and sunset scene.
Oh my Mrs. T!! Poor Skylar!! So sad! But a gorgeous - seriously - island and sunset! Wow!!
This is the most beautiful sunset i have ever seen. Skylar must be looking down on it from Shrew heaven. There is a tenderness here that carries the warm whispers of gentle breezes and the slight sound of the rippling waters.
A beautifully written and touching story. . .
You really do a fine job of describing the world with imagination but also reality. I am very sorry for Skylar and Nils. We watched the Parrots of telegraph Hill recently and we were also saddened at one of the Parrots demise by a hawk, but, we love hawks too.
This is so personal and moving. Thank you for sharing the sad in your world as that is the Tao of Life
Lovely & sad.
