THE SIMPLE LIFE
Mrs. Trowbridge devoted many pages of her journal to explaining and sketching everyday life in Huckleberry Hollow. This is one that I selected to show how the creatures in Huckleberry Hollow led such a simple life. Maybe there's a lesson here for the rest of us.

If it involves me cooking over an open fire or carrying buckets from a well, then my lesson would be that I don't want the simple life! *G* It's a beautiful illustration and concept all the same. :0)
